Feb 13, 2010 MHUSpeed V3 vs ChickHEN R2...Which one is the best loader?

For PSP users who are using PSP 3000 and 2000 ( TA-088V3) that require "Loader" or HEN (Homebrew Enabler) to run the Homebrew application such as ISO, CSO, and other plugins, MHUSpeedV3 and ChickHEN R2 is the answer. Both have the same functionality as the loader. However, both believed to give  different performance.

ChickHEN R1 is the first released 5.03 firmware loader from Team Typoon and people believed the loader is not really effective and often have problems. After that, ChickHEN R2 has released to replace ChickHEN R1 and it got good feedback from PSP users although it still has some weaknesses. However, PSP 3000 and 2000 TA-088V3 users, they do not have many options and they need to use this loader to run homebrew  system. For those who less familiar with the loader,they usually will find lots of  failure to activate ChickHEN R2.

As PSP users were waiting for the emergence of ChickHEN R3, in early December 2009 a new loader named MHUSpeed V3 was introduced. The loader has been created by a group which called MHU Team. People believed, MHUSpeed V3 can provides reliable results in shorter time to activate the loader.

Advantages.

• Can run in Custom Theme mode.
• Load faster than ChickHEN.
• Least failure.
• Despite the success of Team MHU in creating this loader, some users think MHU Team has been stealing ideas from ChickHEN.

Writer experienced.

I have seen and read some comments from PSP users and most of them really like MHUSpeedV3 because for them,the loader is more effective than ChickHEN R2. To explain what they say, I had to try it myself. However, for me, the result is not as I imagined. Perhaps this happens because I used it on PSP 2000 and maybe the loader is more effective for PSP 3000. However, for PSP 3000 users, I prefer you guys to try MHUSpeed V3. It maybe can give a better luck.

Pandorize PSP Battery with HackitTools: PSP Homebrew Application

For PSP users who are used 5.00m33-6 Custom Firmware and below and want to pandorize PSP battery, Hackittool application is the best choice. For your information, HackitTool have various functions that can be used for hacking purposes such as Pandora, Backup, Themes and others. However, because most of these functions can modify the file in PSP firmware, then the application is classified as the sensitive PSP application. In other words, if you have done any mistake, it can cause problems to your PSP. However, for the users who want pandorize PSP battery, Pandorize features can not give you any problems. :)


Requirement:

• PSP 1000 and 2000 (only the TA-088V1 only) with 5.00m33-6 Custom Firmware and below.
• Hackit Tools v2.5 (Download here)

Step 1.

1. PSPHackit Toolv2.5 zip file.
2. PSPHackitToolv2.5 zip file extracted.
3. Content inside PSPHackit Toolsv2.5 folder. Open PSP folder.

5. Copy PSPHackitTool folder and paste it into the memory stick (ms0)>> PSP>> GAME >>...

If you need guideliness to paste the folder, you can refer step 2 in installing guide that provided (Installing guide).

After you complete Step 1, thus we will be running this application on step 2.



Step 2.

1. In the PSP XMB, go to Game> Memory Stick>> PSPhackitTool and enter to run the application. After that, you will shown with the language selection menu. Select English.


2. After selecting the language, you will display the main menu of the application. Select Pandora.



3. Submenu for Pandora will appear as figure 3. Select 'Make Pandora baterry'.

4.Select 'Yes' to pandorize PSP battery.

To determine Pandora battery:

1. Switch off your PSP.
2. Unplug the battery and plug it back.
3. After you install the battery, you'll find 2 possibilities:

• You succeeded if your PSP power indicator automatically flashing
•  You failed if your PSP has no any responce.

There are several possibilities in case of failure in this tutorial.

• PSP battery does not support Pandora.
• You do not meet the necessary requirements.

Additional tutorial.

How to change the battery to pandora battery to normal.

• Unplug the battery from PSP.
• Switch on PSP using Ac Adapter.
• Then, plug in your Pandora battery into your PSP.
• Run Hackittools as shown in step 2.
• In the application main menu, select Pandora>> 'Make Normal Battery' and select 'Yes'.
• After that, test whether the battery is functioning as normal or not.

Installing MHUSpeedV3 Guide: PSP Loader

MHUSpeed V3 is one of 5.03 firmware loader and it really useful especially for user who used Psp 3000 and 2000 (TA-088V3). It's functions same as ChickHEN R2 loader and it is an alternative method for those who feel ChickHEN can't give good results.

Requirement:

• PSP PSP except Go.
• MHUSpeed V3 (Download here)
• PSP with Firmware 5:03. (Download OFW 5.03). (Firmware Update Guide)
• Patience.

Guide.

Step 1.

1)mhuspeed3 zip file. Extract this file.

3) Open MS3 folder.

4) Files that contained inside the MS3 folder. Copy B file (bin.file) and paste the bin.file into the root of your memory stick. After that, open A folder ( PICTURE)

A) Folder and image files contained inside A. Copy the mhuspeed3 folder and all image files and paste them into the PICTURE folder in root of your memory stick. Make sure the PICTURE folder in your memory stick files do not contain other folders except 'mhuspeed3', '2 ', '3' and 'Seis'.

Example:The PICTURE folder inside the root of PSP memory stick.
