Fixmypsp return with the latest tutorial on how to install Game Categories v12 plugin. For users who are not familiar with Game Categories plugin, this plugin has the function to compile and distribute files contained in the PSP memory stick, such as ISO, CSO, homebrew and others into the folder that we created. The idea is, this plugin can makes your PSP XMB more neatly and tidy, especially in the Game directory. Game Categories have been introduced with various of series and the newest series is Game Categories v12.

• PSP with Custom Firmware 5.03-gen/5.50 gen.

Tutorial

Step 1.

1) Game_categories v12 zip file that has been downloaded.

2) Folder Game categories v12 that has been extracted.

3) Files and folders that contained inside Game categories v12 folder. Open 'seplugins' folder.

4) Files that contained inside 'seplugins' folder. Copy both of files and paste it inside Root of Memory stick> seplugins>...

Step 2.

The next step is to create the category folder. In this step, I have categorize files inside ISO folder.You can also categorize the files in the folder "PSP> GAME> ... and" PSP> GAME5XX "by applying the steps that I provided.

 1) Root of memory stick. Open folder ISO.

2) Create new folder and named the folder with CAT_GAME

Blue label means you can change/rename it with any labels that you want. This label will appear on your PSP XMB.
Next, enter the ISO files in the folder CAT_GAME.

You also can create as many folders with different labels.

Step 3.

Enable plugins.

The third step is enabled Game Categories plugin. You can enable this plugin by refer the guide provided (Guide enabled plugins).

Step 4.

After you have enable the plugin, you can see the changes on the PSP XMB> Settings> System Settings.In system settings, you will find 2 additional menu which are Game categories Mode and Show Uncategorized.

1)On the Game categories Mode, you can display the folder in the 3 forms which are Multiple MS, Content Browser and the Context Menu.
