Dec 15, 2010 New release of Torky m33_620 plugin; Now support 5.50 Gen D3 : PSP Plug-in

Wow, this is so cool!! Torky has released the latest m33_620 plug-in update and it now supports Custom Firmware 5.50 Gen-D3. If your PSP system software version is Custom Firmware 5.50 Gen 3 or 5.00 M33-6, you do not need to perform any Custom Firmware upgrade or patch your ISO. It is because this plug-in will let you run the new 6.xx games on your PSP even if you're using UMD. Torky also tell us that Ghost of Sparta also playable using this released. Besides that, the plug-in provides Go! Cam feature. Thanks Torky for this wonderful work.

I have tested the plug-in and it works like a charm. Unfortunately, it still won't work on Monster Hunter Portable 3. I hope there is an update soon.

Installation Guide

Step 1

1) Extract m33_620_20101214.rar.











2)Just copy kd620 and seplugins folders and paste them right into your root of memory stick>>.......

Merge all the folder and replace all files. 

Note:

• If you currently have other plug-ins working on game.txt and vsh.txt, just do nothing on game.txt or vsh.txt file. Don't replace, don't copy when the PC ask you what to do with this file (game.txt/vsh.txt). Leave these files in the destination folder.
• After the process finished, copy these purple lines ' ms0:/seplugins/m33_620 1 ' and ' ms0:/seplugins/m33_620_user 1 ' to your current game.txt and vsh.txt inside seplugins folder.

May 30, 2010 Play 6.20 PSP Games on 5.50 Gen D3 or 5.00 m33-6 Custom Firmware [m33_620 Beta 2]: PSP Plugins & Patcher

But! There is a catch. A couple days back Torky, the coder has released a cool plugin: m33_620… m33_620 lets you to play new PSP games that released only for 6.20 firmware on your 5.50 Gen D3 or 5.00 m33-6 Custom Firmware.However, the plugin still in Beta and needs a lot of improvement.

Although we no yet confirm on it's abilities, but some sources have proved that the plugin works well and enable 5.50 Gen D3 or 5.00 m33-6 Custom Firmware to play new games. I have prepared a few of steps on how to install and run this plugin on your PSP. So, go dig those up.

Requirement:

• Only for PSP 5.50 Gen D3 or 5.00 m33-6 Custom Firmware.
• m33_620 plugin (Click Here for Source and Download location)
• PSP Games ( UMD or Untouched ISO)

Notes: I have tried this plugin on Touched ISO (Patched ISO), and it works too*( Some games).

Warning:

Please, avoid to try m33_620 plugin on PSP 3000 and 2000(TA-088V3)

because the toturial needs you to enter your PSP flash 0.

Step 1: Install the plugin

1) Extract m33_620.prx Beta 2.


















2) Copy m33_620.prx file and paste it into root of memory stick>> seplugins>>...

3) Inside your seplugins folder, open game text file. Copy this (blue) command 'ms0:/seplugins/m33_620.prx 1' and paste it on game text as shown in red circle.


Close the text and save it.






Step 2: Configure Recovery Menu

The next step, you need to enable the plugin in recovery menu. If you have problems to enable the plugin, please refer the guide provided ( Guide enable PSP plugins).


After you are successfully enable the plugin, please stay tune on your Recovery Menu.

1) On your Recovery Menu, select Configuration and press enter.










2) Select 'Use version.txt' and press enter to enable it. After you're done, exit the recovery menu.




Step 3: Enter Flash 0

Warning:

Just follow the instructions given. Never touch or change or replace on other flash 0 files.

 If you failed to follow this warning, you may brick your PSP.

1) On your PSP XMB, press [SELECT] button to activate your PSP VSH MENU.


Select 'USB DEVICE', then toggle control buttons to change it into 'Flash 0'. Exit the VSH MENU. 


Connect the PSP to your computer.



2)Select 'vsh' folder.






3) Open 'etc' folder.





4) Double clicks on version to open the text file.










5) You will find, 'release' labeled with '5.50' or '5.00' ( Based on your current Custom Firmware). Replace the label with '6.20' as shown on the picture.

After you have finished, save the text file and exit your Flash 0.
