May 20, 2010 Easy way to make your own Pandora Battery [ PSP Tool 0.8]: PSP Homebrew Application

PSP Tool developer, raing3, delivers a update for his application… PSP Tool 0.8 is a multi-purpose application designed to help you converted a Memory Stick Pro Duo and battery into a "Magic Memory Stick" and "JigKick Battery". For your information, the Memory Stick and battery can then be used to downgrade any PSP of any version or to recover from a brick. I'm sure, this handy tool is the one of easiest ways to create Pandora Battery for your own.

Warning: Never attempt Pandora Battery on PSP 3000 or PSP with TA-088V3 motherboard model

Pandora Battery:

• Downgrade any PSP of any version
• Recover from a brick

Requirement:

• PSP with TA-085V1 motherboard model and older model. If you not sure which PSP motherboard that you used, please refer the guide provided. ( Guide on how to identify PSP motherboard)
• PSP Custom Firmware enable
• The battery must has at least 78% power.
• Official Firmware 5.00. ( Download Here)
• PSP Tool 0.8. (Download Here).
• Memory Stick ( Please backup your files inside the memory stick.)

Tutorial


Step 1.

1a) Extract psp_tool 0.8 zip file.






1c)Open 'PSP' folder.





1e) Copy PSP Tool folder and paste it right into the root of memory stick>> PSP>> GAME>> ....

If you still do not know on where to paste this folder, please refer to the Guide on how to install application provided.(Installing Guide)

Step 2.


You need to format your PSP memory stick by using PSP Tool to avoid any problems. So, please backup your files before move to the next process.

2a) On your PSP XMB>> Games>> Memory Stick>> PSP TOOL and enter.


2b) Choose 'Memory Stick Option' and enter.




2c) Next, select 'Format Memory Stick' and enter.



2d) A message will pop up and select 'Yes'. After that, your Memory Stick will in formatting mode. The process finished after PSP Tool application automatically closed/exit.



Step 3.

3a) Connect your formatted Memory Stick to a PC. You will realize that the root of Memory Stick has nothing inside.





3b) Copy PSP folder that contain inside psp_tool 0.8 folder. Please refer (1c)'s step) and paste the folder right into the root of memory stick.


3c) Copy file PBP ( FW 5.00 zip file) and paste it right into the root of memory stick.


*Attention: Downloaded OFW 5.00 may named with EBOOT . You need to rename 'EBOOT' to '500' same as shown on 3c's figure.

Step 4.

Guide on how to create "Magic Memory Stick" and "JigKick Battery".

4a) On your XMB >> Game > Memory Stick > and run PSP Tool.



4b) Choose ' Memory Stick Option' and press enter.




4c) Next, select ' Create Magic Memory Stick' and press enter.



4d) After that, choose Despertar del Cementerio v8 (5.00 M33-4)' and prees enter. Take a break and wait until the process finish.

4e) A message will pop up after 4d process finished, 'Do you want to inject the Time Machine IPL now?'. Select 'Yes' and press enter.


4f) Then, you will ask to pandorize your PSP battery or skip the step. Select 'Yes' to pandorize your PSP battery.


4g) Lastly, you need to set a pandora button activation. (You need to press the button when you want to use the pandora battery on any PSP: Except for PSP 3000 and TA-088V3). To set it, you need to hold a button (any button) for several seconds. On the 4g picture, I have choose L trigger as my pandora button activation.

4h) You have finished the whole process after this message appeared..


How to test your Pandora Battery.


After finished all the step above, you need to test whether it working or not.

Requirement:

• PSP (Except for PSP 3000 and PSP TA-088v3)
• Pandora Battery

Guide

• Switch off your PSP.
• Remove the battery.
• Replug the battery.
• You will get 2 possibilities:

1.Power light will flashing automatically.
2.Nothing happen.

• If the first possibility happened, you have successfully created your own Pandora Battery.
• Instead, if nothing happened after you plug the battery, you have failed.

Additional Guide


I will explain a guide on how to activate Pandora Battery on targeted PSP.

• Insert your Magic Memory Stick into needed PSP.
• Press the selected pandora activation button. ( Shown on 4g picture) Hold the button.
• Plug in the JigKick Battery. ( Still holding pandora activation button)
• The PSP automatically reboot.
• A menu will appear.
• Select 'Install CFW 5.00 m33-4' and press enter.
• Wait untill the process finished.

Several reasons that make you failed to completed all the proccess.

• You have left some requirement.
• You have used a fake PSP battery.
• You have used a fake PSP Memory Stick.

Feb 13, 2010 Pandorize PSP Battery with HackitTools: PSP Homebrew Application

For PSP users who are used 5.00m33-6 Custom Firmware and below and want to pandorize PSP battery, Hackittool application is the best choice. For your information, HackitTool have various functions that can be used for hacking purposes such as Pandora, Backup, Themes and others. However, because most of these functions can modify the file in PSP firmware, then the application is classified as the sensitive PSP application. In other words, if you have done any mistake, it can cause problems to your PSP. However, for the users who want pandorize PSP battery, Pandorize features can not give you any problems. :)


Requirement:

• PSP 1000 and 2000 (only the TA-088V1 only) with 5.00m33-6 Custom Firmware and below.
• Hackit Tools v2.5 (Download here)

Step 1.

1. PSPHackit Toolv2.5 zip file.
2. PSPHackitToolv2.5 zip file extracted.
3. Content inside PSPHackit Toolsv2.5 folder. Open PSP folder.

5. Copy PSPHackitTool folder and paste it into the memory stick (ms0)>> PSP>> GAME >>...

If you need guideliness to paste the folder, you can refer step 2 in installing guide that provided (Installing guide).

After you complete Step 1, thus we will be running this application on step 2.



Step 2.

1. In the PSP XMB, go to Game> Memory Stick>> PSPhackitTool and enter to run the application. After that, you will shown with the language selection menu. Select English.


2. After selecting the language, you will display the main menu of the application. Select Pandora.



3. Submenu for Pandora will appear as figure 3. Select 'Make Pandora baterry'.

4.Select 'Yes' to pandorize PSP battery.

To determine Pandora battery:

1. Switch off your PSP.
2. Unplug the battery and plug it back.
3. After you install the battery, you'll find 2 possibilities:

• You succeeded if your PSP power indicator automatically flashing
•  You failed if your PSP has no any responce.

There are several possibilities in case of failure in this tutorial.

• PSP battery does not support Pandora.
• You do not meet the necessary requirements.

Additional tutorial.

How to change the battery to pandora battery to normal.

• Unplug the battery from PSP.
• Switch on PSP using Ac Adapter.
• Then, plug in your Pandora battery into your PSP.
• Run Hackittools as shown in step 2.
• In the application main menu, select Pandora>> 'Make Normal Battery' and select 'Yes'.
• After that, test whether the battery is functioning as normal or not.
