On the previous post, Fixmypsp stressed about the important of PSP motherboard information. The reason is, it will help you to avoid some critical problems which it can brick your PSP. Although I have published a few informations on how to identify motherboard PSP, but I believe that there are still many users who are still not aware of it. So, in this post I would like to republish a tutorial on how to identify PSP motherboard via a PSP application that called PSPiden. I hope, with this new tutorial, you're able to identify your PSP motherboard compatibility..

Requirement:

• PSP with Custom Firmware
• PSPiden 0.4 ( Download Here)

Tutorial:

Step 1

1) PSPident_04 zip file. Extract the file.

2) Copy PSPident folder and paste it right into the root of memory stick>> PSP>> GAME>> ....

If you still do not know on where to paste this folder, please refer to the Installing Guide provided.(Installing Guide)

Step 2

1) On your PSP XMB>> Game>> Memory Stick>> PSPident 0.4. Enter.

2) Next, you will showed some information about your PSP including the motherboard model.

Extra informations

Example

The blue circle on the picture above is about the model of motherboard.

Once you know your PSP motherboard model, you can check the capability of  the PSP motherboard by referring table below.

Hackable:  PSP which you can pandorize with pandora.

Pandora: PSP which you can produce pandora battery.

If your PSP is hackable PSP, you can use Pandora to solve problems such as:

• You have accidently update PSP unhackable PSP system software (New system software)
• Your PSP has brick/semi-brick

If your PSP is a PSP unhackable, please be careful and avoid any problems such as:

• Updating PSP to newer Firmware/unhackable Firmware.
• Edit files inside Flash 0.
• Using any PSP applications/plugins which can brick your PSP. (This applications/plugins usually require some changes inside flash 0)
