May 19, 2010 Guide on how to install Final KHBBS easy Data Patcher V5 version (Hako Version PSP Games) on PSP: PSP Guide

We don't know games that will come out for the PSP in 2010, we do know what some of the hot games are going to be, because they're already been announced. But the sad news is, most games probably never run on PSP with normal Custom Firmware because of a new anti-piracy system has secure the games. Due to the problem, Homebrew Developer has created new generation of game patcher that will help us to play the games on Custom Firmware.

In this post, I have prepared a guide on how to install game patcher on your PSP and the game patcher only works on Hako version PSP Games. (Recommended patcher)

Requirement:

• PSP Custom Firmware enable.
• Hako version PSP Games that need patcher.
• Final KHBBS easy Data Patcher V5 version (Download Here)
  
  

Tutorial

Step 1

1) Extract Data-v5

2) Copy KHBBS folder and paste it to the root of your PSP memory stick. (Refer picture below)

After that, open seplugins folder.

3) Copy all the files and paste them into root of memory stick>> seplugins>>...

You can replace the old files inside your seplugins folder, but if you want to keep text command inside game, game150, pops and vsh, you can....

* Please follow this step if you already have game, vsh, game150 and pops file inside your seplugins folder:

• Open file game, vsh, game150 dan pops .
• Copy the text commands in the game, vsh, game150 and pops file and paste these commands in the root of memory stick>> seplugins>> game, the root of memory stick>> seplugins>> vsh,  the root of memory stick>> seplugins>> game150 and the root of memory stick>> ; seplugins>> Pops. (Make sure that you have paste the command on the correct file)

New PSP Homebrew Developer, ponlork has released his new program which called Learn Japanese ver0.4. This tool is a trivia game designed to help people memorize Japanese words. How it's work?

Gameboy Advance Emulator gpSP-J (April 29th 2010 build) : PSP Homebrew Application

Looking for a emulator to play your favourite Gameboy Advance on your PSP? Well here's the latest release of Takka’s unofficial gpSP GBA emulator, a handy homebrew application that support various of GBA games. I also believed that, this release works better than previous version although it's in Japanese language. But I'm sure, it's not a barrier for you to run this emulator.

Fixmypsp return with the latest tutorial on how to install MyCustomHidder plugin. For users who are not familiar with MyCustomHidder, this tool will help you to hide your private contents inside games, videos, music, or photos . 

Zer01ne's Notes:

• Tested on 5.00 M33 and 5.50 GEN

Just go to Settings->System Settings and choose Hidden Folder, select one from the available category.

• None - Neither category is hided.
• Game - For hide the Game/Homebrew/Iso.
• Video - For hide the Video.
• Music - For hide the Music.
• Photo - For hide the Photo.

Bugs / Problems

• You may encounter problem to activate the menu despite the plugins were enabled.
• To overcome this problem, you need to run any application or game to reboot / refunction these plugins.
• Exit the game/application and try to run the plugin again.

Reboot/Suspend PSP through PSP Headphone Remote (iXMB Plugins): PSP Plugins

For PSP users who have PSP headphone, I would like to introduce to you a plug in that may interest you. The plug in is known as iXMB. The plug in works as a system that allows you to reboot / suspend your PSP through your PSP remote headphones. Cool isn't it? However, the plug in not recommended for users who are using PSP with 5.03 firmware PSP (TA-088V3 PSP3000/2000) because the function of reboot / suspend will deactivate your ChickHEN/MHUSpeedV3.

MacroFire 3.1 Extra Guide: PSP Extra Guide

A few days ago, Fixmypsp has introduced a PSP plugin which called MacroFire v3.1. For your information this plugin is able to remap and realign the functions of each PSP buttons. I must admit, this is very useful plugin and I also believe that many users want the plugin work on their PSP. However, maybe some of people have problems on how to use and understand the function provided. So, in this post, I has explained on how each function works and I hope it will help you to use this plugin without having any problems. Requirement:

• MacroFire v3.1.

Extra Guide

The picture above showed the main menu of MacroFire 3.1. The menu is divided in two categories which are preference and function. Each category also has its own function.

Macrofire Engine: ON / OFF is the main switch of this plugins. You need to ensure that the Macrofire Engine is ON to make Preference settings and Functions work in game or XMB.

Preference

'Button to launch menu' works as a setting that help you to change the activation button or menu activation button to display the Main menu of MacroFire. If you are not very comfortable with the original setting which is '[-VOL]+ [VOL], you can change it here.

Next is  'Button to toggle the engine stats'. This setting work as an alternative switch (ON/OFF) to activate MacroFire Engine without entering the main menu of MacroFire.

'Notification status: On / Off' is an extension setting for 'Button to toggle the engine stats'. You can enable this setting to identify whether the main switch plug in is ON or OFF.

We continue with the next setting which is "Analog stick movement'. This setting will help you to change your PSP Analog Stick sensitivity. On / Off 'Analog Stick movement' to activate this setting.

Functions

'Remap setting' is an ability that changes function of each button PSP buttons. You need to choose which function of a button should be change and where the function of the button needs to place. For example: Function of [L] trigger was chosen, and it has set on [X] button. It means that, X button can play the same role as [L] trigger. 

Besides 'Remap setting', Macrofire also provided rapid mode or by pressing a button once it will perform same as you are pressing the button repeatedly.

In this post, Fixmypsp want to share a tip that may help you to identify Sony PSP Memory Stick whether it is original or fake. Nowadays, many non genuine products have been release including Sony PSP accessories such as PSP Memory Stick PRODuo. Actually, the use of fake memory stick is not a big problem for users because it can run as good as original PSP Memory Stick. In fact, the price offered is far cheaper than the original PSP Memory Stick.




The main problem is, when sellers deceive buyers by saying that PSP Memory Stick they were selling are all original. In fact, the products sold are fake. Futhermore, they also put very expensive price. We as PSP users must find ways to figure out this problems.

Problem Solving

Due to the problem, Fixmypsp want to share a tips of how to find out whether your PSP Memory Stick is fake or not.

Tutorial:

Insert the PSP Memory Stick.

1) On PSP XMB, select Video or Music or Photo by pressing [Triangle] button.

2) You will showed a menu. Select  information and enter.

3) You will find some information about the Memory Stick. On MagicGate information, you will get two possibilities either it labeled with 'Unknown' or 'Support'.

'Unknown' or 'Support'

• If it labeled with the Unknown, your PSP Memory Stick Memory Stick is fake.
• If labeled with the Support, your PSP Memory Stick Memory Stick 90% is original.

Additional Information

• Original PSP Memory Stick 100% has no problem to convert to Magic Memory Stick.
