Update is an important element in improving the quality of your PSP system. A good system can provide best result when running the various PSP applications including when you are playing games. Most of the new games require the latest system to function properly. Updating system also provides some new function for your PSP.

Custom Firmware user

PSP 3000 & TA-088V3: Currently, you can only update your PSP system software to version 5:03.

PSP SLIM & 1000: The latest Custom Firmware that can be used at this time is 5:50 Gen-D3.If you do not have accessories like pandora downgrader, please be careful while updating the system to CFW5.50.

1. You'll get a zip folder such as shown in the figure. Unzip the file.

2. Open the EBOOT_503 folder.

3.  You will see a PBP file inside EBOOT_503 folder. Rename this file with the "EBOOT.PBP". * Important.

4. Photo 4 shows the file on image 3 that has been rename to EBOOT.PBP

5. Create a new folder, and rename it as UPDATE. Put the file EBOOT.PBP into the UPDATE folder. Copy the file update inside your
Memory Stick: PSP> GAME>. ....
