Sony PSP is a cool gadgetry and it designed definitely for play various of video games. In addition, the PSP also support to play other media files such as MP3 files. By placing any song files into a specific folder inside your PSP memory stick, you can listen to music through your PSP. Even so, the integrate mp3 player that available might not satisfied your satisfication. In this post, I want to introduce an application that works as an alternative music player for your Sony PSP and it called Game Music Gear MX. This application was actually developed to support/play classic music format that normally used for old games such as acc, ac3, adplug and more. However, you still can use it as a MP3 player to play your favorite songs.

Step 1
1) Extract GMGearMX.rar.
2) Copy GMGearMX folder and paste the folder into root of memory stick>> PSP>> GAME>>...

Switch on your Sony PSP , run the application on XMB>> Game>> Memory Stick>> Game Music Gear.

SMB 0.4 ( Save My Battery) : PSP Plugins
Recently, Fixmypsp have tried a PSP plugin that released by one of PSP programmer whose known as Hakuryu. The plugin was called SMB 0.4 (Save My Battery) and it works as a system that can saves the usage of Sony PSP battery power. Step 1
1) SMBv0.40 rar file. Unrar the file.
2) Copy SMB.prx and vsh file into root of memory stick>> seplugins>>...
*Please follow this step if you already have vsh file:
- Open SMB vsh file.
- Copy the instructions contained in the vsh text file and paste the command into root of memory stick>> seplugins>> vsh.
If you're still confused, please refer to the manual Installing plugins that provided (Guide Installing Plugins)
Step 2:
Please enable SMB.prx plugins in recovery menu >> plugins. If you have problems to enable the plugin, please refer the guide provided ( Guide enable PSP plugins).
User Guide:
- After you successfully installed the plugin and enable SMB 0.4.prx, you can activate SMB 0.4 menu on your PSP XMB by pressing the button [START] + [R Trigger]. Example shown in the picture below.
- You may fail to start the menu. You may solve the problem by running any application or game that available on the XMB>> Game>> Memory Stick >>...... After that, exit your current game / application. On your PSP XMB, you can try again to enable SMB 0.4 menu by pressing button [START] + [R Trigger].
- On the menu, you will find some options that will help you to reduce the usage of battery power.

Gameboy Advance Emulator gpSP-J: PSP Homebrew Application
A few weeks ago, Fixmypsp has introduced to you an application which called gpsp.This application function as Gameboy Advance emulator on your PSP. Here and now, Fixmypsp want to introduced another version of gpSP. gpSP-J is the updated version and it believed has better performance than previous versions. However, this version is only available in Japanese language edition. Although it was build in Japanese language, i'm sure you will get no problems to play GBA games on this application.

After the installing process is finished, we need to dump / extract key file from the new save data.
1) Start the game and before you create a new game save, you need to activate the Free cheat menu by pressing [NOTE] on your PSP. Select MEM Manager and enter.

2) Next, select SAVEDATE Manager and enter.
3) In SAVEDATE menu, select the Operate Mode and enter. Next, select Dump and enter. Exit the menu by pushing [X].
After that, create a new save game on the game.

1) The roof of your memory stick, you will find that there is a folder named with FreeCheat. Open the folder.
2) Then select SAVEDATA and open the folder.
4) You will find that there are 2 files as shown in the diagram overleaf. File inside the red circle is a key file. You need to rename the file by removing the dash symbol '-' and change the file format to.bin file by adding [.bin] at the end of its name.
5) This is the key file that was renamed.

1) Cut the new Savefile that has been produced at the root of memory stick>> PSP>> >>... SAVEDATA and paste the file on your computer for a while.
2) Copy the corrupted Savefile that you want to fix and to paste it to the root of memory stick>> PSP>> SAVEDATA >>....

1) Select the game saves that you want to repair (the text with red in color is the selected game saves) and presses the triangle button (/ _ \). Choose the top option as shown in the diagram and enter.
2) You will see a prompt as shown on the picture. Select yes to continue with this process. When finished, please exit this application.

Connect Memory Stick to your computer.
1) At the root of your memory stick you will find .bin file as shown in the picture *.
2) Cut the corrupt SaveData ( was pasted previously) at the root of your memory stick>> PSP>> SAVEDATA >>....... and paste it on your computer.
3) Copy the new SaveData (that previously cut and pasted on your PC) and paste it on the root of memory stick>> PSP>> >>SAVEDATA.......
4) Make sure the new SaveData has the same label with the .bin file that located in the root of your PSP memory stick. If you find the different, you must rename the Save Data folder same as the '.bin file.
Step 7.
2) You will see a prompt as shown on the picture. Select yes to continue with this process. When finished, please exit this application.

- Open file game, vsh, game150 dan pops .
- Copy the textcommands in the game, vsh, game150 and pops file and paste these commands in the root of memory stick>> seplugins>> game, the root of memory stick>> seplugins>> vsh, the root of memory stick>> seplugins>> game150 and the root of memory stick>> ; seplugins>> Pops. (Make sure that you have paste the command on the correct file)
