Developer Total_Noob comes through with a final release of  VSH Menu-Ultimate VSH Menu- upgrade original VSH Menu into new VSH Menu with a few of new features. I highly recommended for all PSP Custom Firmwares users especially who are using PSP 1000 and 2000 non TA088v3. Word of advice

• After reading several comments from others sites about this plug-in, I found there were some complains from users. They said that this plug-in has fuck up their PSP. Based on the comments, the problems occur after they play with "Convert Battery" function. For your information, this function really useful when you want to convert your PSP Battery into Jigkick Battery. So, if you are noobs about Pandora, don't ever touch this function. Just ignore it. Besides, I installed the plug-in for my own and I found no problems and it works great on my PSP.

Guide on how to patch Prometheus ME631 on PSP ISO by using ISO Tool v1.81 : PSP Guide

In the previous post, I have introduced a handy tool called ISO Tool v1.81. For those who are still have no idea about this tool, ISO Tool will allow you to patch  Eboot.bin (Binaries required to boot a UMD/ISO) on your PSP ISO then make the ISO compatible with Custom Firmware. It also able to ripp your UMD's, convert your ISO to CSO or vice versa and much more. In this post, I will give further information and guide on how to use ISO Tool.

Requirement:

• PSP Custom Firmware enable (Especially for those who are using 5.50 Gen D3/5.00 m33-6/5.03 Gen C)

Notes:

• If you just want to try out this tool but you do not have any Unfixed/Untouched PSP ISO games, you can download a sample game that I have provided.

Normally, if you are running any latest PSP games with a PSP 5.50 Gen D3 or 5.00 m33-6 or 5.03 Gen C Custom Firmware, a message will pop up on your PSP screen. "The game could not be started (80020148)".

Guide on how to patch Prometheus ME631 on PSP ISO by using ISO Tool v1.81

Step 1

Make sure you have installed the tool correctly. On your PSP XMB>> Games>> Memory Stick>>  ISO Tool v 1.81.

1) Select the Unfixed/Untouched PSP ISO game and press [X]/enter to view "ISO MENU". Next, select "Patch" and press [X]/enter to continue.

2) You will see a list of "Patch" option. Select "Patch Prometheus" to proceed.

3) Another list of option will showing. Select ME631 to patch Prometheus ME631 on the selected PSP ISO game.

4) Just select "Yes" to complete the process.








Closure:
Now, you can test the game whether it works or not on a  PSP 5.50 Gen D3 or 5.00 m33-6 or 5.03 Gen C Custom Firmware. Please, give your feedback about this guide. Thank you.

You gotta download it to see it.....Takka, Japanese developer has released a new version of Iso Tool application [Iso Tool v1.81] which promised with more fixed and improvements. Step 2

On your PSP XMB>> Games>> Memory Stick>> Ultimate Recovery Menu easy installer.

1) After you have entered the easy installer menu, you were advice to backup your original Recovery Menu.prx. Select backup, then press enter.

2) If a message pop up as shown in the picture, you have successfully backup the old.prx.

Step 3

1) After you have backup the original Recovery Menu, then you are ready to install the .prx files into your PSP flash 0. Select 'Ressourcen to Flash0' and press enter.

2) You will see the files are assigning into your PSP flash0. After the process finished, press [X] to exit.

Step 4
The next step is, you can test your new Recovery Menu by switch on PSP after holding [R TRIGGER] while in shutdown mode [The method only works for PSP 5.50 Gen and 5.00 m33 Custom Firmware]

If you found any unsatisfied feeling after installed this plug-in, you can turn back into the original Recovery Menu by selecting Restore Backup while in the easy installer menu.

Writter experience:

After I tried running this plug-ins on my PSP, I have found a bug. My PSP keeps freezing after pressing left or right axis button while in Ultimate Recovery Menu mode.

Oct 26, 2010 Requirements to play Dragon Ball Z Tenkaichi Tag Team USA on PSP: PSP Guide

For those who are using PSP that running Custom Firmware, I sure you have hard time in order to make this game running on your PSP. So, I have provided a simple tutorial/guide regarding the problem. I hope this guide will help you to enjoy the game.

Requirement:

• PSP Custom Firmware enable:

1. CFW 5.00 m33-6 or 5.00 Prometheus 2 [Click Here to install 5.00 Prometheus 2]
2. CFW 5.50 Gen D3 or 5.50 Prometheus 2 [Click here to install 5.50 Prometheus 2]
3. CFW 5.03 Gen C

•  Dragon Ball Z  Tenkaichi Tag Team USA [Fixed version] 

If you already have the requirement above:

1) Please change your UMD ISO MODE into Sony NP9660. You done this by enter your VSH Menu. To enter VSH Menu, press [SELECT] button while on your XMB. Then you will see the menu below.

2) After you changed the UMD ISO MODE to Sony NP 9660, exit the menu and you can test or play your game right way.


3)It is good if can run the game smoothly. But what happen if you face any problems while playing the game? The game maybe could close automatically or the screen turn to blank or while running on your PSP. If these problems occur, my suggestion is:

• If you are 5.50 Gen D3 or 5.00 m33-6 user, please update your CFW into Prometheus 2. This method possibly will reduce the crash while playing the game. [Update your 5.50 Gen D3 into Prometheus 2] [Update your 5.00 m33-6 into Prometheus 2]

If the all the method above still not helping you, you can try additional methods.

Apply the settings below:

Step 1

• UMD Mod (currently : Sony NP9660 -NO UMD-)
• Use VSH Menu (currently) : Enabled or VSH Menu

You will these settings on your PSP Recovery Menu >> Configuration >> ..... 

1) If you have problem to get in Recovery Menu, please refer the guide provided. [ Guide to enable plug-in]

Step 2

• CPU Clock XMB : 222/111
• CPU Clock GAME : 222/111

You can apply these settings on your PSP Vsh Menu

Press [SELECT] button to activate VSH Menu

Step 3 [ This setting currently only on 5.00 m33-6] Skip it if you are not 5.00 m33-6 user.

• Speed up MS access (Currently : NEVER)

Step 4

• Plain modules in UMD/ISO Disabled
• Execute BOOT.BIN in UMD/ISO Disabled

You can apply these settings  on your PSP Recovery Menu >> Advanced >> Advanced Configuration

Now, you can test your game whether it works or not. 

What?? They game still won't running on your PSP?

Hurm..We still have a final card. Try apply this method if all the method above still can not make the game running on your PSP.

Final:

• Backup your saves data, pictures, musics or any important files in your PSP Memory Stick.
• Format your PSP Memory Stick directly from your PSP XMB by selecting "System Settings" >> Format Memory Stick.
• After successfully format your memory stick, you need to restore your PSP into Factory setting. To done this, go to "System Settings" >> "Restore Default Settings" >>....
• Then, configure your PSP settings by repeating from the first step that shown in this post.

In the previous post, I have introduced a Homebrew application which called PSP Maps v2.2. For those who still have no idea about this application, PSP maps v.2.2 will let you view world maps on your PSP. I can say that this application works as same as Google Maps. However, we need extra effort to make this application run smoothly on your PSP. In this post, I will explain and give guide on how to use or run PSP Map v2.2.

Guide on how to use PSP Maps v2.2

I have found 2 method on how to make this application working fine on PSP:

1. Download maps cache directly from PSP
2. Download maps cache through PC/Laptop.

Requirement:

• Internet connection
• PSP Maps ver. 2.2  (Download Here)

Opinion:

Based on my short research about 2 different method above:

• Download maps caches directly from PSP- This is the fastest method to use the application. Just make sure you have very good internet connection on PSP, then you 'maybe' can use the application in no time and view your favorite maps. 'Maybe'?. I'm used word 'maybe' because the rate of success to make PSP Maps works by using this method nearly 50-50. If you found any problems after used this method, I'm suggest you to move on second method.
• Download maps cache through PC/Laptop- This method is quite different than the first method. I sure, this method will make your PSP view the maps well. So, I will explain to on how apply this method on your PSP.

Guide [ Download maps caches through PC/Laptop ]

Step 1

Connect your PSP Memory Stick with PC/Laptop. (Memory stick that you have installed/put folder PSP Maps ver. 2.2.

1) On your Ms0: Open folder PSP >> Game>> PSP-Maps


























In the PSP-Maps folder, you will see various of files: As shown on picture below.

Double clicks on pspmaps.exe [application file]

Step 2:

1) A small screen will pop up automatically. What you need to do is, try zoom the target maps/places as close as possible.








2) You also can change the view of your maps before you start zooming your target maps.


Closure:

• Regarding the process occur in step 2, the maps caches will automatically installed on your PSP-Maps folder in folder 'cache'.
• After you have found your maps, turn off the pspmaps.exe and run PSP Maps on your PSP.
• After you had entered the application, you will see a screen that asked you to make internet connection. Just skip it.
• Test your target maps.
• The settings must same with the settings on the step 2.2 especially on maps 'Current view'.

It's free. You just need to register before you can explore the store by yourself. This new version v1.12 MHU Free Store, currently being implemented some improvements in both interface and functionality level, corrections and changes to improve system stability. Anyway, get updated and enjoy the latest version of MHU Free Store.

MHU Free Store v1.12 update:

PMPlayer Advance

Cooleyes PMPlayer Advance is shaping up nicely...The latest release is ppa.eboot.en.fw3xx.3.1.2(20100925). For those who are still have no idea about this homebrew application, PMPlayer Advance will lets you to play .mkv, .pmp, .flv, .mp4 video files on PSP. Its' really exciting PSP homebrew application ever. However, this player/application is not 100% perfect yet and it still has some weaknesses.

You can play  videos by putting the videos into your PSP memory stick or you also can play the videos directly from your PC without transfer them into your memory stick.

Review:

I have tried this application to check whether it really can works as people said. As a result, I successfully played 3 different of videos formats which are .mkv, .flv and mp4. I failed to make .pmp video format works on this application. I'm not sure if i am doing wrong.

New World: Fixmypsp Homecoming

Hello guys....This is my first post after a long rest since 3 months ago. I could not continue my writing because I faced a few of obstacles.
